Valentines

We started Valentines day off with  breakfast
Elizabth wanted red  scrambled eggs and toast , but of course the eggs turned out orange instead.
O'well, I tried.
Elizabeth looks so cute in her valentines outfit. So sparkly!

The night before, we ran to the store and grabbed valentines  candy  and cards for class parties. They each had their class list and they picked each card for their friends.  Jocleyn even wrote her name on all the cards. A few days before valentines the kids got a package from their nana and papa.  They had fun opening their cute little bags filled with treats, toys, and socks. thank you nana and papa!  Lots of chocolate to go around.

Dude! put on a shirt!

Clifford 50th Birthday

My kids love watching PBS!  And for the last two weeks they have been announcing Clifford the Big Red  Dog's 50th Birthday celebration at the Erie Library. The kids have been so excited and begging me to go.

So we ventured over to  take part in the party. There were hundreds of children there. It was a   3 hour event with lots of crafts, face painting, games, story time, short films and pictures with Clifford himself. We got there early and it was packed.

Here are the kids getting their faces painted like Clifford.

I  was surprised that Ethen let the lady paint his face. He left it on for quite a while.

I think we waited in line for a good half an hour to see Clifford. Ethen was very excited to see the Big Red Dog. He's not afraid of anyone in costumes like the girls use to be when they were little. I would hate be the person inside that suit, sitting for hours.
The kids did some crafts and then we listened to story time, but had to leave soon after that. It was Ethen's nap time, and boy did he get cranky fast. The girls really wanted to play some games and watch a film, but we had to go. And we missed out on the singing and birthday cake too. Darn. Well, we stayed as long as we could.

She loves taking pictures of herself. I delete most of them. But here's one I saved.
And I'm finally on the other end of the camera! Say Cheese mom!

Pre-Valentines

The kids were out of school the other day for a teacher in service day. The girls wanted to do some crafting so we pulled out some paper and found something for them to make.
I think they were originally suppose to be Clifford the Big Red Dog, but they turned out to be something different. they both did a great job. Now their works are hanging up on the walls.

The little boy wanted to have his picture taken too. He looks very handsome today!

Elisabeth made a valentine Balloon too. Too bad Jocelyn's got popped.
Happy early Valentines
