PORT FARMS

Port Farms family outing!!!
Scott was able to take a day off from study to come with us to Port Farms.
I've taken all the kids, but Scott had not been yet. It' so much fun.  It's  known as the "redneck Disneyland" around there. the weather was great. It was actually a little warmer than we thought. It was so much fun
Little slides, big slides,  baby slides.
These huge slides are so much fun. Ethen coming down and Scott at the top.

 Posing on the wooden horses

They played on the hay maze

We saw bees and milked  a fake cow.  The line was too long for the hayride, so we bagged that.
I was the only one who  couldn't go on the derby cycle cars. Too hard on my hip.  So I took lots of pictures while Scott rode with Ethen and Jocelyn. Elizabeth was big enough to go by herself.

Scott passed up Elizabeth,  so she sped up from behind and ran him off the rode. Good thing Ethen was buckled!

Jocelyns turn. They had the whole track to themselves.

We tried to go through the  big corn maze, but it was just too hot and we we were all pretty thirsty.  This years maze design is the Niagara  flagship, celebrating 200 years.
After getting water, we made our way over to the corn pit. Everyone loves the corn pit. The kids have so much fun playing in the corn. Scott took some really good pictures on  his phone, this is the only one good one that didn't get blurry. When we get home we always find corn kernels in pockets, socks, shoes, and even Ethen's diaper.
Here's the little kids cycle derby bikes.  Scott pushed Ethen around the tack a few times.

We don't get to spend very many days with dad , so days like this are pretty special when we can be together!

Erie Zoo

We love to go to the Zoo! The zoo will not be open far very much longer, so we made one more trtip  before the weather  got too cold to be out. The girls invited one of their friends  to come with us. She had  never been before and they had a great time showing her around.

Here is Ethen Hanging out with the penguins.
They have an indoor play area with  lots of things for kids to do. Ethen loves the train set and he could play with this all day long.

The kids love to play  at the outdoor play ground.

We went for a train ride. Ethen loves the train and wants to go on it all the time, but it only runs on the weekends.  Waiting in line

Getting ready for the ride

My kids love this statue and want their pictures taken with it all the time. And older man sitting and looking at his dog.

Elizabeth's Baptism

During our trip to Utah, we had the opportunity to have Elizabeth baptized. She was baptized  into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on Saturday, July 6th, 2013. She was baptized by her dad Scott McKay Cook and confirmed by her papa, Harold Leslie Studley.
There were 3 other boys from my parents stake who were also being baptized that afternoon.  I had the opportunity to be one of the speakers before the baptism. I spoke on Taking the Sacrament.

After the baptism, we left the stake center and went to my parents chapel for a lunch celebration. My sister and I had a lot of fun decorating the Relief Society room with the theme "8 is Great" in colors of pink, purple, and turquoise. Grandma Pam made Elizabeth's baptism dress and it looks great on her.

Family and friends came to eat lunch and bring Elizabeth a gifts to celebrate her special day.

Her first set of Scriptures!!

Sister Debbi Drake came to the baptism and luncheon. She was Elizabeth's primary teacher, and our next door neighbor, before we moved to Pennsylvania. She is awesome!

We had taco salad, cake, and ice cream. It was really good and we had a great time being with family on this special occupation.

I Belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saint. I know who I am, I know God's plan. I'll follow Him in faith. I Believe in my Savior Jesus Christ. I'll honor His name. I'll do what is right. I'll follow His light. His truth I will proclaim.
